Diversity Youth Council

Just Communities of NWA’s Diversity Youth Council empowers youth leaders in Northwest Arkansas to promote a more diverse, accepting, and inclusive community.

The Diversity Youth Council is a group of students who are ready to lead and serve on behalf of Just Communities of NWA. Participation in OurTown Youth Leadership Institute by August 2008 is required.

As a member of this group, you will expected to attend monthly meetings, work and meet in smaller committees, and complete projects. Project selection will be determined by participants in conjunction with the advisors.

The meetings will be held on the first and third Thursdays of every month at the Just Communities of NWA’s office unless otherwise stated. Generally, the time commitment to Just Communities of NWA’s should be around 5-7 hours each month. The time includes meetings and committee work. Punctuality, professionalism, and readiness are expected at all times.

There may be times in which you are asked to come into the Just Communities of NWA office for additional time to work with your committee.
